How to Choose a Wooden Wine Box
Start with the bottle. Give us the exact dimensions, especially the shoulder height and diameter. The insert is cut to hold the bottle at four points, so it does not move during transport or when the box is tilted. If you plan to ship the box with the bottle inside, tell us the total weight so we can check the stacking load.
Decide on the finish. A natural wood finish shows the grain and works for rustic or estate brands. A high-gloss lacquer gives a more formal, luxury look and holds deep colours like black or burgundy better. We control colour with Pantone matching and first-article approval, and we sample mid-run to catch drift early.
Plan the opening experience. The lid can be a simple lift-off, hinged, or magnetic. For wooden boxes, a lid-and-base with a snug fit is common because it feels solid and protects the bottle. If you want a drawer or double-door structure, we can build that too, but the wooden shell must be engineered for the extra moving parts.

Yes. Single-bottle wooden boxes are a standard format. We cut the insert to your bottle's dimensions and hold it at four points. The box body and insert are made to our control tolerances, so the bottle does not rattle when you shake it.
What insert options work best in a wooden wine box?
Velvet trays and EVA foam are the most common. Velvet gives a soft, high-end look and is easy to brand with a debossed logo. EVA foam can be cut very precisely and holds the bottle firmly. Both are made to fit your bottle and the box interior.
Do you test wooden boxes with the bottle inside?
Yes, our in-house checks include a six-face drop test from 1.2 meters with the bottle loaded, a stacking top load of 40 kg or more for 24 hours, and vibration simulation for truck and sea transport. We also shake the box for ten seconds and tilt it to confirm the bottle does not move.
